Banco ML

Banco ML brings storage, a seat and a side table into one continuous form. A black-quartz surface provides a place for a drink beside the armchair, while shelves and a cane-fronted compartment organise everyday objects. Pau-ferro veneer and natural cane connect the new piece to the furniture already in the home.

Process

I developed the design through Cage Studio and directed fabrication with a partner cabinetmaker. Detailing focused on the curved body, the framed cane door and the transition from wood to quartz.
