Mesa de Centro Mônaco

Made for the shared interiors of Edifício Mônaco in Batel, Curitiba, this coffee table takes its name and its rhythm from Monaco’s bays and hills. Repeated marble profiles appear to pass through an organic glass surface, creating a piece that feels different from every angle. The transparency reveals the construction while the stone gives the composition weight.

Process

I developed the concept and technical design around a sequence of stone profiles. Each marble slab was cut and finished individually, then joined around an internal stainless-steel structure with threaded rods. Final assembly took place on site, before the 15 mm tempered-glass top was positioned.
