ODT

ODT began with a question about bringing nature into increasingly compact homes. References from Art Nouveau and Curitiba’s architecture became a furniture collection that makes plants part of everyday use. Open metal frames, glass and integrated planters invite the owner to participate: the living elements change the object over time.

Process

The exhibition pieces were developed through stainless-steel fabrication and welding studies, with glass surfaces and linen upholstery. The original research also explored cast recycled aluminium as a production route. Material testing, joints and assembly were developed alongside the central idea of integrating furniture and plant care.
