Móvel Toca-Discos RMR

The RMR cabinet was designed around a collection of records and the equipment used to play them. A fitted turntable recess, an open receiver bay and generously sized vinyl shelves organise the listening setup between two hi-fi speakers. Rounded corners and the irregular pattern of pioppo burl give the piece its identity—the starting point for the later SR F 02.

Process

I coordinated the design with Primeira Linha, resolving equipment clearances, curved corners and the continuity of the veneer. The natural pioppo burl was applied over the cabinet and protected with a PU finish. Installation brought the furniture, speakers and existing room into one composition.
